There are portals everywhere, said Princess Haiku... which one will you enter?

a red Flower is a great view, said Princess Haiku

I am musing today about perspective. After you have taken months of photographs you are able to observe vantage points from which you perceive the world. We all have a particular way of seeing the world and it's this focus or light source that determines who we are. -In other worlds; not how "we look" to others but how we see. What will you see today? I have seen a red flower and already that is quite enough, said Princess Haiku...

moonlight splashes October flowers, said Princess Haiku

Tell me the secret of your perfection, implored Princess Haiku,

but the flowers were silent as immortality.

Eventually the moon drifted into dense cloud and Princess Haiku fell asleep,

dreaming of petal skin and magenta solitude.

All Saint's Day, says a ghost...

All Saints Day in France is part of a national holiday known as La Toussaint. La Toussaint is a two day festival during which the French celebrate two holidays together: All Saints Day, the day for remembering Catholic saints, and All Souls Day, the day for praying for the souls of the deceased. Families celebrate it by bringing chrysanthemums to decorate the tombs of their departed loved ones.

This flower print is an example of the chrysanthemum in French art. I am happy to report that In Buddhist tradition the chrysanthemum represents "the eye" of the soul and the source of light. Thus every day is a perfect day to enjoy the radiant blooms of the spider chrysanthemum.

Yet, today.. I offer this post and these gracious flowers to the memory of my beloved mother.

Chrysanthemum and a Six Word Memoir

I was tagged by Supernatural Fairy Tale to write a six word memoir. That's right; only six words and what comes to mind is perfect simplicity.

Okay, here goes.

A magenta flower said,
"Eye, Chrysanthemum."

Here are the rules:

1. Write your own six word memoir.
2. Post it on your blog and include a visual illustration if you’d like.
3. Link to the person that tagged you in your post.
4. Tag more blogs with links.
5. Enjoy

mystery creature with fiery Chrysanthemum twins

Yesterday, was a perfect day said, Princess Haiku, for a friend gave me a gift of Chrysanthemum twins. Who are you, I asked them as they burst into fiery beauty.

Who do you think they are?

I am full of mysteries today, Princess Haiku continued. I thought my several hundred year old guardian creature was a Fu dog and now I am not so sure. If anyone can identify it please let me know. It stands ever alert guarding my door and on certain nights exhales frankincense into the air with ancient force. BTW his name is George.
