white flower remembrance 2012, said Princess Haiku

Dear Friends,

Wishing you all a prosperous and Happy New Year 2013.

My special thanks to those of you who visit my blog regularly throughout the year. When I began this little poetic journal years ago I had no idea that many people would view/read it a month. I began writing it at a difficult crossroads when my life plans went awry. The small moments of beauty I captured in the beginning were merely to console my own lost soul and then somehow became a garden of their own.

May the flowers in my garden and poetic asides add to the joy in your life. In the end the small ways, the by ways, the simplicity of everyday moments of beauty and love become the fabric of our existence.

Princess Haiku as we all know is a poetic ghost but Diane Dehler who writes her into being is not. You can visit me directly on my FB page.

Warm Wishes

under a Chrysanthemum Moon, said Princess Haiku

The full moon of September arced high in the sky,

Before splashing down upon tall chrysanthemums growing in my midnight garden.

Ghostly and spectral dances entranced Princess Haiku,

As did memories of other flower creatures,

Other Autumns and nocturnal travel deep into,

A bright night of absolute beauty.

misadventures of 12 small chrysanthemums, said Princess Haiku

There was a snafu with my shipping address and my small plants from King's Mums arrived where I wasn't.

Fortunately, these sturdy little plants were well packaged and survived nearly 30 hours in a post office box until I could pick them up.

At first they appeared to be very wilted and I was very concerned about their well being.

Their bright spirits rebounded as did mine and now a season of growing approaches spirit. Both the little plants and I are not sure where this chrysanthemum journey will take us. These plants along with the 15 from Marin will require a lot of care and thought. I will be planting them in a sunny spot tomorrow.

belle chrysanthemum in exile

The chrysanthemums of this year have long faded but I have had enough of this drizzling rain and the flowers want to bloom again.
