the last flowers of Autumn said, Princess Haiku

These lovely pink blooms were captured in the dahlia garden outside of the Conservatory of Flowers in San Francisco. Autumn flowers are often the most spectacular: dahlias, fuji mums, spider chrysanthemums and late roses. As  regrets for the passing of summer fill my heart these flowers are a sweet consolation.

a thank you, from Princess Haiku

I am melancholy and missing. In the last two months I have been ill and stopped doing almost everything I love.

Tonight, I stopped to visit my darling Moon and A who both had flowers for me. Plus stunning visuals.

Even the shadow of a ghost can brighten.

words, words, words said Princess Haiku

Only this black ink on a smudged ivory page. Curls of frankincense. My thoughts.. as private as only a ghost poet's can be. If someone asked you what secrets you kept from yourself, how would you answer? Not what........

No more today; only this. A map of the terrain you have apparently never visited but know oh so well.

I am always haunted, said Princess Haiku

These gentle eyes see as I often do, that which belongs to the other world. The wildflower sorrow grows in my garden as quickly as I pick it. said, Princess Haiku. Where are the daisies?

purple retreat

When the world is too much to bear I turn to purple, said Princess Haiku, on a rainy day.
