The Flower of Now, Mandala by Sue O'Kieffe

This gorgeous mandala is designed by artist Sue O'Kieffe. More of her mandalas can be seen here and here.

Sue O'Kieffe describes herself as a "visionary and intuitive artist and mandala maker living on the North Coast of California. I consider myself a conduit for the mandalas that come through me and, with Spirit's assistance, almost make themselves. I am here to listen and to tell their stories, and to offer this mandala art to humanity for inspiration, growth, and healing."

Mandala is a Sanskrit word that means containing essence. Mandalas are used as symbols for healing, prayer, and meditation. My digital mandalas are inspired by the beauty of nature to bring healing and inspiration to your spirit. ~Sue O'Kieffe

Sacred Circle Mandalas and others said Princess Haiku

After a long sleeping winter, Princess Haiku is active again and will be introducing new spring flowers; talented, vibrant and creative bloggers that you absolutely have to visit.

The first Spring Flower in my series of new bloggers, is talented artist, Sue O'Kieffe who creates the most beautiful mandalas I have ever seen.

"I had to abandon the idea of the superordinate position of the ego. ... I saw that everything, all paths I had been following, all steps I had taken, were leading back to a single point -- namely, to the mid-point. It became increasingly plain to me that the mandala is the centre. It is the exponent of all paths. It is the path to the centre, to individuation.
... I knew that in finding the mandala as an expression of the self I had attained what was for me the ultimate. - C. G. Jung. Memories, Dreams, Reflections
."

My name is Sue O'Kieffe. I create original digital mandala art prints inspired by nature that are meant to bring healing and inspiration to the viewer's spirit. Mandala is a Sanskrit word that means "containing essence." Often referred to as the Circle of Life, mandalas are used in many forms and in many cultural and spiritual traditions as symbols for healing, prayer and meditation.

The mandalas you see in my Etsy shop are a blending of the natural and technological worlds. Photographs I take of the everyday beauty I see on the North Coast of California are digitally transformed into magical new patterns to bring healing and inspiration to the viewer's spirit.

Brightest blessings to you on your path. ~ Sue O'Kieffe

Many thanks also to the Queen of the Flowers, Jacquelyn Berl, for introducing me to many of the new bloggers I will be posting about in the next several days.

And to Sybil Archibald with her uplifting message:

"The source of creativity is the source of everything. Through sculpture, etching & painting, I seek a pathway deep into that sacred well. I keep kinship with ancient mystics. While they sought God in visions, I seek the Divine in the creative process..."
