contemplation on beauty said, Princess Haiku

Today I am musing on the deeper reasons that we make the life decisions we make. On the surface a general sort of logic prevails.  Yet deep within stormy channels, karma carries us toward our destiny. Fate is an interplay of choice and chance. In the end, fortune and fate become a weave; a tapestry of our lives.

autumn tristesse said, Princess Haiku

This morning I saw gold leaves high above the landscape of trees and memory.  It always ends this way;  a flash of gold that soon scatters into burnt fields of wheat and memories left far behind. -Only to be resurrected in a season of Autumn tristesse.

a muse of Orchid said Princess Haiku

I had the pleasure of visiting the SF Conservatory of Flowers on Saturday and captured some orchid photos to share. It was barely fifty degrees and very foggy. Wish I had worn another layer; it was as chilly as a Summer day. Non the less had a magnificent walk through the garden. It is with wonder that I enter the garden, the paradise of April- to explore the gifts of Spring. Princess Haiku various flowers said, "Capture me, no me, I am the epitome of beauty." Perfect moments of life are often the most simple... And as elusive as the passing hour.

white flower winter star said Princess Haiku, I remember you

I found a white flower winter star, luminous against a pearl sky background on a January day. I was looking for the day, not the flower but the flower presented itself and the day hid in the endlessness of every winter day with no name.

magenta petals said, Princess Haiku

I would love to wake up some morning in petal skin just this color. And I would be a flower of 100 hours, but such a paradise the bloom.

Princess Haiku pursues a flower called, Midnight

Why is it that the most fascinating things happen at midnight mused, Princess Haiku? This flower for example, opened tonight as mysteriously as a secret assignation or an intimate engagement with beauty.

immortal poetry is always with us said, Princess Haiku

The poetry of Francis Thompson...
"Who know not love from amity, Nor my reported self from me; A fair fit gift is this, meseems, You give -- this withering flower of dreams. "O frankly fickle, and fickly true, Do you know what the days will do to you? To your love and you what the days will do, O frankly fickle, and fickly true? "You have loved me, Fair, three lives -- or days: 'Twill pass with the passing of my face. But where I go, your face goes too, To watch lest I play false to you. "I am but, my sweet, your foster-lover, Knowing well when certain years are over You vanish from me to another; Yet I know, and love, like the foster-mother. "So, frankly fickle, and fickly true! For my brief life while I take from you This token, fair and fit, meseems, For me -- this withering flower of dreams." The sleep-flower sways in the wheat its head, Heavy with dreams, as that with bread: The goodly grain and the sun-flushed sleeper The reaper reaps, and Time the reaper. I hang 'mid men my needless head, And my fruit is dreams, as theirs is bread: The goodly men and the sun-hazed sleeper Time shall reap, but after the reaper The world shall glean of me, me the sleeper. a red Flower is a great view, said Princess Haiku

I am musing today about perspective. After you have taken months of photographs you are able to observe vantage points from which you perceive the world. We all have a particular way of seeing the world and it's this focus or light source that determines who we are. -In other worlds; not how "we look" to others but how we see. What will you see today? I have seen a red flower and already that is quite enough, said Princess Haiku...

moonlight splashes October flowers, said Princess Haiku

Tell me the secret of your perfection, implored Princess Haiku,

but the flowers were silent as immortality.

Eventually the moon drifted into dense cloud and Princess Haiku fell asleep,

dreaming of petal skin and magenta solitude.

under a Chrysanthemum Moon, said Princess Haiku

The full moon of September arced high in the sky,

Before splashing down upon tall chrysanthemums growing in my midnight garden.

Ghostly and spectral dances entranced Princess Haiku,

As did memories of other flower creatures,

Other Autumns and nocturnal travel deep into,

A bright night of absolute beauty.
