moonlight splashes October flowers, said Princess Haiku
Tell me the secret of your perfection, implored Princess Haiku,
but the flowers were silent as immortality.
Eventually the moon drifted into dense cloud and Princess Haiku fell asleep,
dreaming of petal skin and magenta solitude.
