To Debussy by Diane Dehler
To Debussy
Abandoned
In a bottle of sea,
Debussy dreams of
Sharps and subdued
Flats. Muted flute trills
Through water. Salt water
Clings to a wet chemise.
A muse eluding poetry,
Symbolist music speaking
Beneath mind.
