Dawn splashes into a surreal moment

I woke up early and went for a long walk as dawn was breaking. The colors of the sky reminded me of this painting "Dawn Breaking" via Creation Gallery
that I found via a great blog that I discovered Beijing Notebook. The author is a German living there. It's amazing how people get around?

A bogger friend skyblue2u drives at night and into the eye of Dawn on a regular basis in her truck. This has to be the upside of a difficult job- Access to midnight sky views and moments when dawn breaks, when everyone else is asleep. She has some beautiful photos on her blog.

The colors of this Dawn have me musing about some of the beautiful, arty blogs that I enjoy:

Celestine Musings

Ascender Rises Above

WindyWillow

Cergipontin
woolgathersome

Helenina's Sanctuary
gypsypurple

When the radiant, pale palette of dawn vanishes into the daylight- their work has just begun. Or ending I guess if they work all night. If we want to know we will have to check.

Dear Princess,
I am still up in Beijing... thank you for mentioning my blog. I am glad to see you got inspired by my link to the gallery.
You are doing a great socializing networking job in your post, bringing all the lovely thoughts and pcitures together in the blogger world that is smaller than the real world. Thank you!

Yes, in Celtic mythology it is believed that the veil between the world thins at dawn and at twilight. This makes sense to me. :)

it is so nice to walk into the dawn, from deep quiet into birdsong. no people... out... if you do see a people it is usually a very sleepy silent one...
