is Beauty a Promise of Happiness
Princess Haiku, wondered. Is beauty really a promise of happiness? What do you think?
dearest Princess, the flowerville department agrees with aforementioned statement since beauty opens all the delight like windows and you do not even have to turn your head and it is already there, in an eternally intriguing presence.
beauties with wit , style & brains like audrey hepburn, maeve brennan, jackie kennedy all had really tragic things happen to them, only her kids made jackie truly happy--same with audrey. maeve was childless but a caring type with many cats and a dog. beauty didnt' guarantee them happiness but it made them attractive to a wider range of people. beauty didnt make them complacent either.
Perhaps it is WHAT one deems beautiful, for beauty then can make a difference to happiness. Although there is some agreement on what is beautiful, there is a broader area that can define it. I would then answer yes, beauty can promise happiness in the heart of those that defined beautiful for themselves.
a beauty with an ugly personality might not get very far, or false beauty like a playboy bunny who has had much surgery, they don't LAST anyway, for decades the way true beauties do. Look at the beauty that is Joanne Woodward, and many people saw Mother Teresa was beautiful inside and out.

Perhaps beauty is a suppliment to happiness - for beauty may follow where happiness leads.
It is interesting how everybody is right in their observations. Perhaps because the aesthetic or nature of beauty is complex.
