"The Resurrection is the Last Great Act of Faith the Heart Alone Understands"

The most important religious feast of the Christian liturgical year is Easter. As Easter occurs this Sunday, I am posting a photograph of Mission Delores, the oldest church in SF. The original building was built between 1788 and 1791 and was made of 36,000 sun baked adobe bricks. Because there is so little sun in San Francisco it took three years for the sun to bake the bricks. Actually, you could say waiting on those bricks was an act of faith, as summer in San Francisco is very cold and foggy. Mission Delores Cemetery adjoining the cathedral is the sleeping place for about 11,000 early Californians. It's a place of perfect tranquility and peace, said Princess Haiku, and she should know.

Princess Haiku respects the beliefs of many religions and knew a priest who once said about Christianity "The Resurrection is the Last Great Act of Faith the Heart Alone Understands."
