solar flare of petals, said Princess Haiku
This flower was sitting in a white bucket in a grocery store in Berkeley, waiting to be tied into a bouquet. The moment my eyes saw it they could see no else. How many times does unexpected beauty seize the moment? When I look at flowers I often wonder about their journey. What pair of human hands tilled the earth, planted the bulb, guarded the small hours of this flower?
