Happy New Year, from Princess Haiku

New Year's Gosho

Misfortune comes from one's mouth and ruins him, but fortune comes from one's mind and makes him worthy of respect. The sincerity of making offerings to the Lotus Sutra at the beginning of the New Year is like flowers blooming from trees, a lotus unfolding in a pond, sandalwood blossoming on the Snow mountains, or the moon beginning to rise.

The blue moon is the color of my thoughts said Princess Haiku, vanishing into a dream of what she hoped would be 2010.

Dear Princess Haiku,

Thanks for this beautiful offering on the eve of the new year.

From the Lotus Sutra:

Imbued with supernatural power
And wise in using skillful means,
In every corner of the world
She manifests her countless forms...

May you be blessed with the sound of Kuan Yin's name always in your midst.

Happy New Year!

The blue moon was simply beautiful here the other night, reflecting off of the snow and brightening a very frigid scene with blue light.

The best of the coming time to you, may it be peaceful and inspiring.

Your pretty words inspire me to see what sandalwood looks like. I know it only by its smell as incense.

The best of times are yet to come, we must believe.
