Amelie Nothomb's, " Tokyo Fiancee"
I am reading a delightful, darkly sardonic prose novel by Amelie Nothomb. Her twisty little books are brilliant and wash down fabulously with a slightly bitter raspberry tea and dark chocolate. Since I am only half done I am not going to comment just yet. Nothomb might be described as a Marguerite Duras turned stand up comic.

Hi Princess, it's good to know you're still writing, and reading I see.
Did you ever watch that French movie called Amelie? I loved that movie! :)
Amelie was really cool. I saw it again recently and it was as quirky as ever. Nice to hear from you Maven.
Sounds intriguing and the raspberry tea and dark chocolate sounds even better!
Oh you didn't . . . tempt me with two of my favorite sweet flavors. My girl made me a chocolate raspberry cake once lately and I was in hog heaven (as they say here in the flyover).
I am trying to establish the berries in the garden but one cannot plant them too close to the tomatoes.
I'm always glad to hear of writers new to me. I shall look for her.
Hello Princess!
A good read, dark chocolate and the after taste of raspberries sound like just the thing for a winter's day...
I loved reading ALL of the Duras that I could find, years and years ago.... maybe I should pick up your author's work and be refreshed again.
and chocolate. must not forget chocolate...

Good to know what your reading and add another book to my "to read" list.
The best thing Godiva makes is a dark chocolate raspberry bar.
I love that way you describe things! How I've missed reading your blog. I'm so glad you are still here. (I've been on a little blog vacation...) Happy New Year!
just stopped in to say hello.
Raspberry tea and hot chocolate...sounds heavenly. I managed to pick up some drinking chocolate which was as dark as velvet. I served it with raspberry whipped cream...absolutely to die for!
Enjoy your book!
Sounds in intriguing!
