Princess Haiku Dreaming of the Sea
<
I was in Berkeley, a few days ago and enjoyed a pristine walk along the Berkeley Marina. The beauty of this landscape always touches me in unique ways. The end of the film, "Kite Runner" was filmed here and on windy days it's the perfect place to fly a bright kite and set your spirit free.

I'll have to walk there someday, have never been there.
Princess, I'm happy. I have to change my mind and we'll soon (my husband, my daughter and I) be in San Francisco and we'll be able to look at the Pacific Ocean !
Must be different from the Atlantic one. I heard it is a bit colder. However, California is such a paradise ! I'll enjoy to be there
(We'll be there for a wedding)
It can be very chilly here, Cergie so make sure that you pack some warm clothing.
I hope you come visit some day Ched.
Dennis says he never gets to go anywhere.
Bottomless and limpid at one, the sea in your pictures.. somewhere in which to loose oneself, in search of soul-treasure. Beautiful.
Thanks wordcrafter. Dennis, is it possible that you aren't a good house guest?
Water is my favorite element, especially if it means the sea. How very lovely the pictures are.
I've tagged you for the six-word-memoir meme - hope you are up for the challenge - see the details at http://ackworthborn.blogspot.com/2008/04/to-meme-or-not-to-meme.html
Looks like a nice place to go. Everytime I go to a lake, I look at it as long as it takes to make me feel like everything is moving :)
Take care!
This is blogging at its best: Beautiful words, photographically illustrated: a window into wisdom and into a world that for some of us may be far away.
the book was wonderful; and it was fun to read of this area through his eyes. I had no idea it was filmed in Berkeley. Looking forward to seeing it.

Dennis is a nightmare houseguest. If you separate him from me he screams all night long.
I have only been to San Francisco on Biz trips, so didn't get to do much--a day in town sort of deal-- I have never seen the shoreline ... snif... looks like I need a small vacation...
i see it anew through your eyes, and learn new stuff too.
Dennis had a tough week. he hopes you had a good one. Best wishes...
Such nice pictures, Princess. As always.
I liked your remark in your last post about blogging being a way to be "publicly invisible" - well put.
deja-vu .... i just read Louise Gluck's poem: MARINA before I logged on .... or would this be considered synchronicity?
I haven't read that poem and will look it up on Sunday when I have some free time. Thanks for visiting blue bike... Linked you.
Dennis needs cat therapy.
Thanks for your nice comments everyone. Hopefully, on Sunday I will have some time to visit and see what you are up to. I have done that meme Acky but will be glad to do it again sometime next week.
(Princess Haiku, come over and get the award I gave you a few days ago. :)
A- Don't you prefer iced over lakes for your winter travels?
