Everywhere I walked, luminous red poppies waved in the wind

It was an ordinary day, said Princess Haiku. I had finished my flute lesson and suddenly, this dazzling red swept me off my feet.

There's nothing like ordinary days... when magic occurs if we notice it!

the poor darlings are imprisoned. But beautiful.

There's something enchanting about these photo's.

Poppy's often remind me of rustic, wild country gardens in the summertime. This clearly has to do with my growing up in the UK and the walking through sleepy country villages and lanes.

I have added you to my blog-links with pleasure, thanks for adding me!

Okay, I don't get it. To judge by the frequency of your postings, you stumble across about three lush, perfectly cultivated, otherworldly beautiful dream gardens a day in your daily errands ... how do you do it?? Don't they have any buildings and streets and garbage cans and stuff where you live, or is it just flowers out to the horizon?

Princess Haiku regrets that others lack her ghostly transparency. However, she is happy to share her otherworldly flowers with her friends.

She who flies-- you are right about that.

Antonia- glad that you are out and about again. I think the string is so the poppies stand up; not sure why it is there but the man who gardens there is very experienced. Metaphorically, I agree with you.

Brow of Calm- I am looking forward to keeping track of your new posts etc..

Hi, Pisces.

poppies... soothing poppies--God grief where did you find all of these lovely poppies???

My smoke bush is starting to PUFF! I will post a pic.
It is in direct sun and puts up with being on a slope that never gets watered, and hanging out over the blacktopped street. I ordered it years ago--it was shipped as a tiny tree-I dug a deep good hole and gave it maure and good soil, so it had a good start--but I never thought it would go crazy. I am starting a new tree from a cutting--

It's the responsibility of every plant to go crazy, isn't it? How could we stand it if things grew straight in lines and ordered. It would make us all captives of their shadows.

How pretty they all look, with thier black spots, like ladybug wings. I'm just itching to grab one of those seed pods so I can have those lovelies in my garden too!
