Issac the Syrian

I have been reading Helene Grimauds autobiography, "Wild Harmonies" and found this wonderful quotation in it.

"I remember this phrase from Isaac the Syrian: "He who has seen himself is greater than the one who has seen the angels."

Hi Princess Haiku,

Some one recently asked me 'Who do you write for?'

Well, I've been thinking about that. Perhaps I don't know the full answer yet, but I do know this much, that I write 'to' someone in my imagination, someone who I would become. Through blogging and searching the web, and reading and abosrbing, I begin to define who it is that I am becoming. Or perhaps it's already who I am, I'm simply discovering that part. But anyway, you, your blog, your journey, is a reflection of who I'd like to become. So in a way, you are one of the people I write for. But it wouldn't be possible if you didn't blog. So thank you...
