Only this black ink on a smudged ivory page. Curls of frankincense. My thoughts.. as private as only a ghost poet's can be. If someone asked you what secrets you kept from yourself, how would you answer? Not what........
No more today; only this. A map of the terrain you have apparently never visited but know oh so well.

The flower fairies photos disappointed, said Princess Haiku but the dog didn't
You never know what you will find at a Spring, flea market. I found a set of gorgeous botanical flower fairies that I tried to photograph and sadly the results were disappointing. This sleepy dog with Victorian dolls was delightful. One never knows what will appear in one's view.

Princess Haiku's Secret
Secrecy is such a wonderful part of being a ghost, said the mysterious Princess Haiku. And the blog forum is perfect as it allows one to be publicly invisible. Musing over this delightful contradiction, she vanished.
Princess Haiku is pleased to offer a Zap award to a blog that delights all of the aesthetic senses.
Tangled in L'Heure Bleue
I was browsing through my favorite used bookstore and to my delight found a 1955 copy of "The Selected Poems of Frederico Garcia Lorca." Inside the book was a faded slip of paper perhaps used as a bookmark. On it were written these words which I have embraced as a secret text for all of us.
"...ourselves before and ourselves after. This assures anonymity. While we can talk with each other and feel each other, we cannot identify each other. Thus you will never be able to be entirely sure that each person you meet, for the rest of your life, has not participated in the Zap with you."

A Jim Morrison Anagram:

From Jim Morrison Poems
To summon the dead.
To exalt senses and perceive inaccessible images,
of event on other worlds, in one's deepest inner
mind, or in the minds of others.
This is an anagram I made from Morrison's name. (James Douglas Morrison)

Princess Haiku's Ghostly Photo

There seems to be so much interest in my ghostly photo that I decided to repost it again. No, it is not photo shopped and it is authentic. Who are all of these people zapping this photo from afar and who told them about it? Curious. If you have a ghostly photo tell me about it and I will link you to this post. Here is to the world of ghosts, dreams, intuition and the inexplicable.
Sincerely,
Moon in Pisces

Zap; a secret Message

I was browsing through my favorite used bookstore and to my delight found a 1955 copy of "The Selected Poems of Frederico Garcia Lorca." Inside the book was a faded slip of paper perhaps used as a bookmark. On it were written these words which I have embraced as a secret text for all of us.

What is your interpretation of this and why do you think that I found it?

Chrysanthemum and a Six Word Memoir
I was tagged by Supernatural Fairy Tale to write a six word memoir. That's right; only six words and what comes to mind is perfect simplicity.
Okay, here goes.
A magenta flower said,
"Eye, Chrysanthemum."
Here are the rules:
1. Write your own six word memoir.
2. Post it on your blog and include a visual illustration if you’d like.
3. Link to the person that tagged you in your post.
4. Tag more blogs with links.
5. Enjoy

the dancers from The Stone Flower Ballet, said Princess Haiku
I awoke in the middle of the night said Princess Haiku and I was surrounded by images of the Stone Flower Ballet. The Queen of the Cooper Mountain was dancing in my very room. Where is he, she asked, where is my beloved. I could not answer.

there is a Daphne in all of us

Daphne -Laurel tree
She was a young beautiful nymph, daughter of the river god Peneus. She was a huntress who dedicated herself to Artemis, goddess of the hunt, and, like the goddess, refused to marry. She was pursued by many admirers but she rejected every lover, including the powerful son of Zeus, Apollo. Apollo fell in love with Daphne, and when she rejected his advances, he pursued her through the woods. Daphne got frightened and prayed to her father for help. Whereupon her father told her that he would protect her by turning her into a Laurel Tree on the bank of his river (Greek native daphne). When Apollo came looking for Daphne, her father told him that she was transformed into a Laurel tree. Apollo then cut off some branches and made himself a crown of laurel branches.

here I am dancing again in a Fairy Ring, said Princess Haiku

"The English believed that fairy rings were where fairies came to dance and celebrate, the mushrooms of the rings were used as stools for the fairies to recuperate during the evenings festivities. One European legend tells of the origin of these rings as being burned into the soil by a sleeping dragon's tail."
"Everyone is a visionary" Yeats tells us, "if you scratch him deep enough. But a Celt is a visionary without scratching."

Clebrating joy of music with the Indiana's Children's Choir

The Indiana's Children's Choir is one of the most amazing choirs in the world. Founded by visionary conductor, Henry Leek in 1986 it has grown to embrace 240 remarkable singers. This choir has sung multiple times at Carnegie Hall and even for the Vatican. for more information about them follow this link.
When I despair of the world and its darkness, I turn to the potential of art and music for creating world peace and cross cultural human understanding. We all understand this language of music, this language of the spirit, this portal to joy and sharing.
This children's choir seems a perfect post upon which to reflect the joy of the Solstice; the return of light. Thank heaven for the light of art and for children.

a mystery palaquin carrying Princess Haiku into farthest reaches of night. Why even the stars were at my fingertips, I was so far away she exclaimed!

What music was Princess Haiku listening to on her esoteric journey? The closest guess wins a link of the day. When you stop let me know what you listen to in your car when you are driving, or are on a break daydreaming.

is this Creature a Gryphon?

I saw this creature in a store window and I believe it to be a gryphon. What do you think? If mythology and folklore are true this creature is very skilled at defending itself by being wily and devious. I could use some wiles, said Princess Haiku, tossing her giant chrysanthemum stalks on the oak table, but where do you find them?

angels that were having a subtle conversation, said Princess Haiku

They were whispering to each other, said Princess Haiku. I couldn't quite get the drift of their conversation but it seemed well, otherworldly. What do you think they were talking about?

a Cat purse is perfect

If you are looking for a blog on the light-hearted side then Deep, Dark, Indelible Green is a fun place to visit. Vanishing Word tagged me with a purse meme which I admittedly tried to dodge. But she persisted and so here it is.
What I carry in my purse Meme:
My purse is very small and contains 1) a small pink pen 2) 5 pieces of plastic that do various things 3) an emergency twenty dollars bill 4) 2 quarters, 1 dime and four cents, 4) a small tin of aspirins 5) folded small piece of paper to jot things on 6) a small comb
If anyone wants to do this take the tag and run.

Princess Haiku is at the Spirit's Ball

Princess Haiku's invitation came at the last moment and she had no idea how it was slipped into her post box. "Come at once," it said in wild calligraphy, "To the Spirit's Ball."
Will you be there" she asked herself in the mirror as she dressed.
Will You?
